Bio

Hailing from Scotland, and now calling NYC her home, Stephanie Manns is a country songstress with an Americana influence that draws in fans from both sides of the pond. With a new EP recorded in Nashville at Zac Brown’s Southern Ground studio, and with support accolades including Blues Legend and 3-time Grammy Award-nominee Joan Armatrading, British country duo Ward Thomas, and Ultravox’s Midge Ure, this BBC featured artist is on the rise.

Self-taught on guitar and ukulele, and vocally likened to Karen Carpenter and Chrissie Hynde, Manns is currently showcasing her original songs in NYC.

With influences that range from Brandi Carlile to Carole King, Manns’ albums have found their way between Sheryl Crow and Dolly Parton as top 10 on the iTunes Country Music charts. Her most recent album, Fool Like Me (Foundry Music Labs) received **** from Maverick Magazine and was named a “top country release” by New Country UK.

BBC Norfolk calls Manns,“Absolutely captivating,” The Upcoming lauded her as “seriously impressive,” and Maverick Magazine’s double page feature not only praised Manns’ songwriting as “genially moving” and “full of raw emotion,” but celebrated her as, “one to watch out for.

Manns is currently playing out with the New York Artists Collective, as well bringing her intimate, captivating sound to headlining shows in NYC.
